1. Data controller
Birol Çelik is the data controller for information submitted through this personal website. Questions and data-rights requests may be sent to info@birolcelik.com.
2. Information processed
When you use the contact form or email channel, the site may process your name, institution or company, email address, area of interest, message, preferred contact method and limited technical records needed for security.
3. Purposes
- Assessing and responding to an introductory-call, project or technical-examination enquiry,
- Clarifying scope, the appropriate contact channel and possible next steps,
- Protecting information security and preventing abuse or spam,
- Meeting legal obligations and protecting rights in a possible dispute.
4. Collection and legal basis
Information is collected directly from you through the electronic contact form or email. It is processed where necessary to take steps at your request, comply with legal obligations or pursue legitimate interests without overriding your fundamental rights. The form does not request consent for marketing.
5. Service providers and transfers
Hosting, security and email-delivery providers may technically process information only to the extent needed for these purposes. Information may be disclosed to authorised public bodies where legally required. Where a provider processes information outside Türkiye, applicable international-transfer requirements and safeguards are taken into account.
6. Retention
Contact records are retained for no longer than two years after the latest communication, unless a legal obligation or ongoing dispute requires longer retention. They are then deleted, destroyed or anonymised.
7. Your rights
You may send a request describing your identity and request to info@birolcelik.com. Requests are assessed under applicable data-protection law and procedures.
8. Cookies, Google Analytics and security
The infrastructure provider may use strictly necessary technical cookies for security and abuse prevention. With your choice, Google Analytics may be used to measure viewed pages, approximate location, device and browser information, and selected interactions with the site. Analytics storage is denied by default and is enabled only after you select “Accept analytics”. Google may process data outside Türkiye. Advertising and behavioural-marketing cookies are not used. You can change your choice at any time through the “Cookie preferences” button.

This notice may be updated when the technical infrastructure, processing activities or legal requirements change. The current version is published on this page.
